“Dakota Johnson Opens Up The Real Deal Behind Movie-Making”
Dakota Johnson may have just made things a bit tricky for those who were hoping for another Madame Web movie.
She played Madame Web in Sony’s recent attempt to build a Spider-Man world with his friends and enemies. But, well, it didn’t go so great.
In comics and the ’90s Spider-Man cartoons, Madame Web is this super interesting character who knows a lot and often links Spider-Man with other versions of himself in different universes. You know, typical comic book stuff.
However, Sony’s take on it, featuring a younger Madame Web with a different story, hasn’t really impressed fans or critics. It seems like their idea didn’t quite spin a good web.
Even after more than 200 reviews, this movie is not doing well. It has a lousy 12 percent score on the Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes, and IMDb gave it a similarly bad rating of 3.7/10.
When Films Take Unexpected Turns Dakota Johnson’s Honest Reflection
Now, reviews and critics aren’t everything. Take Venom, for example. Critics didn’t love it, but it still made a ton of money.
But Dakota Johnson, one of the stars of this not-so-popular movie, has spoken up about all the criticism. She gets why people aren’t loving it.
In an interview with Bustle, she shared her thoughts, saying that movies should first focus on being great art, not just following what committees and algorithms say.
Preparing movies is one of the hardest jobs today, and at the same time, even the minor movies are run by multiple groups of people. That gives much rise to worry. The actor believes creative juices don’t flow well when several people have to reach a decision in the artistic field.
In an ideal scenario, the movie making process should be a collaborative work of the filmmaker and a whole crew of cinematic artists. Art isn’t a matter of blindly following numbers and algorithms if you want to do something creative. From all the time I have spent at public school, I feel that audiences are quite bright. It seems like these giant wheelers in the industry doubt that.
Sometimes audiences can willingly do this with their senses despite the level of inauthenticity. The truth be told- even though A.I. could make films, people will prefer watching films that are made using human strength.

Now what it is possible to say about the case of the film tackling like that movie again, Dakota Johnson disclosed her opinion quite clearly.
She asserted, Knowing a punch line to a joke is one thing, but it is a different skill set to effectively convey the emotion of the person without having the dialogues. I had never experienced anything like that previously, That’s why I just think it is impossible I would repeat something similar because I’m just not that kind of a person.I know that now. In this business, you will often find yourself agree to something in the beginning whose meaning might change as you make it and something else which you were not expecting come in unexpectedly would show up and you keep feeling like, “Hmm, what?”
Dakota Johnson brought it to the last by saying that of course it’s not good to be part of a film people have no problem being critical of, but she understands why people are not loving it.
