The awards were for the NAIA, or National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, Women’s Basketball All-America teams of the 2023-24 season. Of this lot, HI Carly Knop of Liberty University was the overall winner of the 2024 NAIA National Player of the Year.

Jamie Pickens who lives in Helena, Montana, a six feet two inches tall forward forward, won this highly praised award for her top-notch performance. She was instrumental in coordinating her crew towards the first of their long-awaited appearance in the NAIA Semifinals.
In other words, Pickens should continue as the top Carroll Women’s Basketball all time great of all time. It makes the nation proud promoting her to the company of the historic Saints players who formed her altruistic role model and sets a higher pace for the next generation.
Season-2023–2014 turned out to be a dominant season for Pickens. In all, her top ranking in steals (250-487), free throws (159-197), defensive rebounds (297), total rebounds (396) and rebounds per game (11.3) remained intact. She was also number one in blocks (54), points (661), points per 40 minutes (23.3) and point The forward garnered 25 double-doubles in the season, while scoring over 20+ points in 11 games and 30+ points in four games. These were recorded by the forward in 32 of the 34 games he played in this season.
The senior reached her personal records this season with regard to these parameters: She played 1l15 minutes; she attempted 629 shots and made 246 field goals and 155 free throw attempts; she made her free throws at a 75.4% accuracy level; in total, she took 391 rebounds; she made 99 offensive rebounds and 292 defensive rebounds; she accomplished this while averaging Il5 per.
The George Wood Senior Campaign witnessed Peterson however adding an indelible coin to the Carroll record book by her name shaping all of the top stories of it. At the end, she was just 2 shy of being named the all-time Fighting Saint for points (Jolene Fuzesy – 2,067) and snatched the game rebound record during their NAIA WBB Championship run last month (1,035). She completed her career shared with the program with only scoring per game (15.9 ppg), second stonnkrebber all by blocked shots (141), and also it she that led all players in both field goals attempted and completed.
Being the first Carroll player named two-time first-team All-American in college is one of Pickens’s awards.
Coach Rachelle Sayers asserted that through the whole season, the national team’s most prominent player was Jamie. This is a great step forward for her since it demonstrates that she is totally focused on our college, our school, in addition, to the citizens of Helena. She was truly one-of-a-kind. No on will ever be another ‘Jamie Pickens’, and I’m feeling very grateful to have coached her for the past 4 years. Her impact upon our team and our school must never be forgotten.

Maldonado named First-Team All-American
Following from her team Providence Women’s Basketball to Championship of NAIA, Maldonado became the NAIA first-team All-American.
The Sunnyside, WA native was a leading scorer and an orchestrator of the offense with the Argos at an average of 18 points per game and 4,7% of assists per contest. Maldonado used to play at Santa Clara before joining the Dons.
Sweeney elected in the Second Team All-American.
The Frontier conference conference is spearhead by the highest scorer at 20. Which is less, 3 ppg Nick Mortensen of North Dakota or 6 ppg Jordan Sweeney of the Montana Western. She also averaged 5. shooting 4 blocks per game for which she earns her secondary NAIA All-American honors. The 1.93 meter tall southpaw, who is originally from Oakley, California, was a third placed pick last year.
